LG Optimus G – Classy talks

, March 6, 2013, 0 Comments

For all you mobile phone fanatics, here’s another great Android phone that rates high among the top smartphones in the market. If you thought the Note was too large or the iPhone could not offer enough flexibility, here’s a phone that can offer you the best of both worlds.

First Impression
On sight, the LG Optimus G looks quite similar to the iPhone 5 but only offers more with its glossy back shell, good size to hold and near perfect looks. The 4.7-inch big screen comes with a sheet of Gorilla Glass 2, one of the more powerful glasses that makes it resistant to scratches. Unlike it’s major competitors Samsung and Apple, LG does not have a main home button on the Optimus G. It comes with 3 buttons below the screen that are visible when used.

The screen has a resolution of 1280X768 inches and uses a technology called “Zerogap” that makes the screen appear closer to the glass and provides some of the sharpest viewings you have ever seen. An attractive element of the LG Optimus G is the glass on the back that has a design visible only in some angles giving its a crystal finish and a classy look.

Specs
The Optimus G comes with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU, runs Android’s Jelly Bean and 2 GB of system RAM. Simply put, it’s one of the fastest phones among the plethora of the best smartphones today. Combining this with good internet connectivity makes using the phone a very zippy experience. Add on to that, the high-resolution display makes video viewing highly enjoyable.

Battery
Its 2100 mAh battery is sealed and there is no way to remove the back cover on the LG Optimus G. The Optimus G can hold up to 10 hours of regular phone use – games, videos, web surfing on a daily basis. Put this on the “Eco Mode” and have the phone retain the battery juice longer.

Camera
LG’s Optimus G comes with a 13 MP back camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. This is ideal for capturing decent HD videos and perfect for video chats. Its camera is capable of producing true-to-life colours. An interesting feature is the live shot that allows you to click a picture while recording a video.

Verdict
The LG Optimus G is an amazing phone that combines classy design, excellent specs and a perfectly-sized screen that manages to provide the best of the smartphone world. The battery life is not compromised  despite the heavy flow of multimedia work it is subject to. The photos clicked on the Optimus is worth printing. While, the Optimus comes with a set of pre-installed apps much like the Samsung, Android is again the savior at the end of the day. On the whole, the Optimus G is a terrific phone if you are looking to pick up a smartphone that can perform on par with the top ones in the market.
