Over the last two weeks, we challenged ourselves by asking questions that made us engage in deep self reflection. We imagined ourselves as a product and buying us, in other words becoming and being more self aware. Next, we identified what matters to us most. Now, to make it all happen and make our dreams a reality…
We want to reach from point A to point B. We want to go from where we are to somewhere else. How do we do that?
Believe you can:-
We have to trust ourselves when our inner voice says we can. Don’t even for a moment think otherwise. If the inner voice keeps languishing in self doubt tell it to hush. Turn they can’t into can. Believe you can achieve your goal.
Examine where you are in life right now. Do you like what you see? Whatever it is you believed that you can or cannot do is exactly what brought you here. Is your dream to become a millionaire? Don’t laugh it off. You can become one, if you work hard in a smart manner. Be realistic. Look for various avenues to become a millionaire (don’t be unethical or rob a bank) but maybe you can think of investing in the right instruments to grow your portfolio. Believing you can achieve your dream is the first step, then act accordingly.
You believe in your dream, now time to act. If you want a better profile at work engage with the right people. People who can guide, advise and help you. I’m not asking you to become a sycophant, but there is absolutely no harm in positively working your way towards a better role. Get yourself out there. Keep an open mind and never say never!
Enthusiasm to make it happen:-
Ever wondered why some people seem to have everything? Or felt that life is fair to them? Heard yourself say that they are lucky? Wait…Lucky people create lucky!
Their body language , words and actions smell of positivity, eagerness and enthusiasm. Enthusiastic people have a glow that says I believe I can do it! And that’s how they get the promotion, their “lucky” breaks. So be enthusiastic and people buy enthusiastic!
Keep your eye on the ball, the goal, your dream. Being focused means not allowing yourself to forget your primary objective. Why do you continue to remain in a job you hate? Experience? company is paying for your education?…etc.
It is very easy to remain focused when you believe in your goal. Remind yourself why you are doing what you are doing.
So remember BEER for a reason more than Kingfisher or Heineken…
B- believe you can
E- engage positively
E- enthusiasm to make it happen
R- remain focused
