Tata Motors Ltd launched the Xenon pick-up truck in single-cab and dual-cab variants in the Indian market. Xenon has been priced at 545,000-635,000 rupees ex-showroom Mumbali according company.
The company has been selling the Xenon range of commercial vehicles in select international markets for the past three-and-a-half years. Company has so far sold around 35,000 units globally, Sandeep Kumar, head of sales and marketing said.
To start with, Tata Motors will sell the Xenon pick-up trucks in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.
Company plan to sell 1000-1200 per month in next one year. As per company strategy Tata Motors will continue selling Xenon XT passenger vehicle.
Shares of TATA Motors closed at 230.90 down by 1.84% on NSE.
