Dr.Iris Mack, earned a Harvard doctorate in Applied Mathematics and a London Business School MBA. She is a former MIT Professor, Derivatives Quant/Trader.

who has worked in financial institutions in the U.S., London and Asia. Dr. Mack conducts workshops on Quantitative Investments and High Frequency Trading for the Terrapinn Group “3-Day MBA Program” in Singapore, Hong Kong and London. She is also a Faculty member for the Certificate in Finance Quantitative Programme and a consultant for 7City Learning in Singapore. She also serves on a Research Advisory Board for the National Academy of Sciences. In addition, she serves on the Advisory Boards of the Women Mentor Women Foundation and the I Can Still Do That Foundation. Dr. Mack is also founder of Phat Math Inc. in Miami, Florida in 2003 and has been an astronaut semifinalist, one of Glamour Magazine’s “Top 10” college students, one of Glamour’s “Top 10” working women, an investment banker, an Enron Energy Trader and an MIT professor. In addition, she was the second African-American female to earn a doctorate in Applied Mathematics from Harvard and became a mathematics and business school professor at several academic institutions, while simultaneously running a consulting firm Associated Technologists, Inc.

Dr Amitendu Palit is Head (Partnerships & Programmes) and Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) in the National University of Singapore.

Dr Palit worked in India’s Ministry of Finance for a decade and handled India’s external sector, industrial and infrastructure policies. He is an economist specializing in comparative economic studies, political economy of international trade, regional developments and public policies. His current research is on China-India comparative economic development, trade and regional architectures in the Asia-Pacific and political economy of economic reforms. He also worked in the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER). He was on Advisory Committees of India’s Planning Commission and the International Labour Organisation (ILO). His books include China India Economics: Challenges, Competition and Collaboration (Routledge, UK; 2011), Special Economic Zones in India: Myths and Realities (Anthem, UK; 2008, co-authored) and South Asia: beyond the Global Financial Crisis (edited; World Scientific, 2011). His forthcoming book is The Trans-Pacific Partnership, China and India (Routledge, UK). He has several publications in leading academic journals. A columnist for India’s Financial Express, he writes for the China Daily, Wall Street Journal, Business Times and other leading global publications.
