Street is abuzz with the rumor that Government is under active consideration to divest stake in Tata Communication. Government hold 26% in Tata Comm (Formerly VSNL). Center has failed to achieve target of 40000 cr set for divestment for current fiscal. Only 14000 cr is being mopped up through stake sale of PSU. For next year a target of 30,000 cr is being set for divestment. Tata Communication [stockquote]TATACOMM [/stockquote]closed at 230.45 up by 3.25%.
