The ban had came in to effect on August 18 in order to control rumor that was being spread on the violence in Assam due to which there was mass migration from Hyderabad and Banglore to NE states.
The Government, lifted ban on bulk SMS and MMS with immediate effect. Mobile users can now send messages and MMS according to their service provider’s limits.
