DRDO to invest Rs 10 Bn cr in 4-5 new facilities

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will invest over Rs 10 bn cr over a period of 2-3 years, to create 4-5 new facilities. Major thrust area would be testing and quality of products.

According to Mr Avinash Chander, Chief Controller (R&D), Missiles and strategic systems of the DRDO. “These include a full-fledged missile launch control center in Port Blair, a hypersonic wind tunnel testing facility near Hyderabad. These facilities will improve the country’s capabilities in testing missiles, electronic components, materials, systems”
