Srivatsan Lakshminarayan is a Doctoral Scholar at the Faculty Of Law and Social Sciences, SOAS, University Of London and Associate Professor with SPJIMR, a leading Indian B-School based in Mumbai, India.

With nearly a decade and a half of work experience in the financial services industry, Srivatsan was until recently associated with JPMorganChase as a Vice-President in their global Investment Bank and has held key positions for over 8 years in Mumbai and London. He has previously worked with ICICI Bank and Ernst & Young. Srivatsan holds an MSc in Finance, with distinction, from the University of London. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a CFA Charter holder from the CFA Institute, USA. His areas of research interest include financial markets, risk management, institutions and institutional change, critical theory and political economy.He writes occasionally on his blog- rain maker economics. He also serves as a volunteer member on the Education Advisory Working Body of the CFA Institute.
