They all stood up and found Ella’s pet dog Bugsy in that direction. It was sitting in front of them for a while and was looking at them. Jack said, “I didn’t know he was sitting right there.” Mark asked “will it be able to understand us? I always wonder how they learned our language.” “I think he is hungry and just thinking of food” Robby interrupted. “No, no” said Marie, “he might be thinking about playing with us.” “I think he lost his ball somewhere and called us to help him find it,” said Jack. While all were guessing this and that now Ella stood so silent looking at her dog. What’s your guess about it, Ella?” Questioned Marie. “I am not so sure,” said Ella. “Is he trying to tell me something? Am I not spending enough time with him?
Is it trying to complain about something? Was his lunch not enough? Is he sick? What happens if I never understood him? How will he tell me anything?” cried Ella. Grandpa Walter was observing them for a while as he was watering the plants. He approached them with a smile, hugged Ella and consoled her saying, “Don’t cry my dear.
You will learn to understand him as you both grow together.” He explained to the children that, “when you love someone so much you don’t need words to express their thoughts. You will be able to understand them easily if you know them better.
So, try to spend some valuable time not only with your loved ones, but also your pets and you will understand them even more than ever.”
Growing together means trying to understand each other or simply observing the things happening around them and subtly finding any deviation in their behaviour or moods. If one can find some variations, we can have a healthy conversation regarding that with our friends/loved ones to help them in our way, within our limitations. By having small talks one can bring lots of depth to the relationship, anyways life is the sum of all relationships. Just adding a bit to the sum always sweetens the relationship and our journey.
